Practical Exam
The practical exam is the final step to your driving licence. Auto-Maat prepares you thoroughly and arranges everything.
What do you need to bring?
Valid identity document (ID card or passport)
CBR exam invitation letter
Valid theory exam certificate
Interim test result form (if applicable)
Without these documents your exam cannot proceed!
How the exam works
The practical exam lasts approximately 45 minutes and takes place at the CBR in Rijswijk or Zoetermeer. A CBR examiner assesses your driving ability.

Automatic licence: code 78
When you sit your exam in an automatic car, code 78 is added to your licence. Want to switch to manual later? You only need to redo the practical exam.

On average around 43 driving hours (CBR research 2021). With an automatic you typically need 10-30% fewer lessons.
